The Past

Memories are a funny thing. No matter how long ago an event happened, one day,  3 months, 5 years, even 25 years ago, The emotion that we attached to it is still as fresh as the moment it happened. The First Love, The First Kiss, The First Time, The First Loss…The First Born, The First Words, The First Steps. The Last Words, The Last Time, The Last Kiss. The Last One, The Last Tear and The Last Breath. All of these memories are so potent that it can keep us in the very moment that we first experienced it. If the emotion is positive it can be most beautiful to relive. However if it was negative then it can lead us down a different road of pain and sorrow. Reliving those moments takes the heart through a tiny death, with each passing day we hold on to the hurt or sorrow, we lose a piece of our self-esteem and eventually become less of the person we were meant to be.

So…if you let this be the Last Time he/she treats you that way, the old painful memories they created will give way to new more pleasurable ones with someone else. If you let this be the Last Tear you cry over it, you move closer to the happiness you deserve. If you let this be the Last 0ne you drink/smoke/shoot, the life of loss and alienation can be replaced with a life of Love Acceptance, Attention, Approval and Affection.

Memories…

Fade out the painful emotions of the past…
